Well, we finally caved. We've been enjoying several friends' blogs--and constantly wondering why we haven't done this ourselves yet. What sent us over the threshold of blogdom was this video clip we captured of Myelle yesterday. Proud parents, we had to share it with all the world...or at least a few people we know that might care to see it.
And so, on to great (or at least marginally entertaining) postings that document the craziness of our lives. We are excited to share with you: our family and friends far and near (yes, we mean you, Oma and Opa).

Myelle Observations & Statements
- "Hey old man". Said to me when trying to get my attention.
- Myelle: Mommy, I want my hair in a braid because Elizabeth will say "Your braid is beautiful!" when she sees it. (20 minutes later) Elizabeth: Oh, Myelle, your braid is so beautiful!
- Mommy: Myelle, why did you get up so early this morning? Myelle: Because I wasn't tired anymore. Why did YOU get up so late?
- "Jack said his first word!! He said 'ow'!"
- "Hey Jack! It's better with teeth. Eating!"
- Daddy: Myelle, will you please open the door so Sage can go outside? Myelle: No, Daddy. You can reach it. Daddy: (stunned silence) True. (Daddy opens the door and lets Sage out.)
- "We ate lots of waffles today. It was a waffley day!"
- "Don't talk to me. You're making it hard for me to sleep." Hope I didn't interupt her 3 minute nap in the car.
- In response to hearing Mom saying something she didn't like: "Well, you can not say that or just go straight to your room."
- Mommy: "We're going to watch church on TV. What do you think of that?" Myelle: "I think that's pretty weird!"
- "Papa, you need to go down the slide right. If you don't follow the instructions we'll have to go home." Not sure where the instructions are.
- "Papa, you need to pay attention." Said to Papa after he dribbled some water on himself while drinking.
- "Watch this. You're going to love it"
- "Oooooh, that's instresting!"
- "That's not your job." Said to Papa while he was doing dishes.
- "It's not a dokie! It's a donut!"
- "Mommy, I'm so awesome."
- "Hey, that one has big hair!" Refering to an older woman, sitting behind her at Olive Garden.
EARLY Myelle-ese
- Teeter Totter: (n) small finger food made up of potatoes and in this case the shape of letters (also known as "Letter Cookies")
- Guh-leg-os: (n) pl small colorful blocks that snap together
- Sourcee (n): A large ungulate commonly ridden by Mimi
- Stinks (n): plural. Big slabs of meat you cook on the grill.
- Dokie (n): Donut. Origin uncertain. Probably came from exposure to Mimi's maple bars.
- Head-band-aid (n) 1: A device to hold hair back from the face 2: a colorful, sticky strip that makes owies feel better.
- Foot Paint (n): Nail polish. Comes in a variety of colors and sizes. Application not limited to the nail area.
- Out-potty (n): Also known as an outhouse. A place that Myelle loves to sit and sing, tell stories, and philosophize
- pack-back (n): Duh. A backpack. But it's just SO cute the way she says it

That video was awesome, you can't help but laugh, didn't understand a word she said besides Beep, but it was still funny.
Classy wide screen effect on the video...how did you do that, your such advanced bloggers already.
That was cute! You totally couldn't help but laugh and giggle. You have a lot of phone calls that go unanswered (or answered by the answering machine I guess) All jibberish except the beep. So cute.
She is TOO CUTE! I love being able to see of video of her. I wish I could see her in person. I better come out there soon, before she is all grown up and graduating from high school.
Well, I think it is awesome. Take TONS more videos of her and keep posting them.
