Chow Time

Myelle is quite the picky eater, not that we're complaining! The things she does eat are very healthy...well mostly. She's all about raw vegetables but doesn't like things together or with sauce of any kind. The only sauce she will eat is on pizza, all pasta is plain and up until now all bread was plain.

Myelle recently discovered food combinations, partly due to a movie - Ratatouille. In the movie a rat teaches his brother about different food combinations and Myelle has followed suit and come up with some very unusual food combinations. In the picture below she is eating bread with raspberry yogurt and sunflower seeds. Her favorite is cucumber slices, yogurt and cheddar cheese. But she won't eat a PB&J! I like that she doesn't feel the need to conform to societal norms so we'll just keep letting her explore food on her terms.

Jack on the other hand, is just beginning his food adventures. The week of Thanksgiving Jack had his first taste of rice cereal. Today (10 days later) he ate two HUGE bowls of pears mixed with rice cereal. This kid loves to eat! He has also sampled apples and likes those too.

These pictures are from his first go with the rice cereal.
