Open Book, Lone Peak Summit Wall

I went up to Lone Peak with my buddy Dave Kappus. We climbed the Open Book route on the summit Wall. As far as I see it, Lone Peak is the coolest place in the Wasatch Mountains.

We started our hike Friday night at 9 p.m. and made it to our camp site by 12:30 (which was still about an hour outside the Lone Peak Cirque). The following morning we were up and at 'em early and made it to the cirque before the snow had softened. Thanks Dave for the crampons and ice axe. We were on our route by 9:45 and had a great time. The weather was absolutely perfect! Can't wait to get back there soon.

Our route is roughly up the big corner on the left.
